Welcome back to another episode with Sill and Einish. Einish, how are you doing today? I am blessed. How are you today? Same? Very blessed. Thank you. Um, it's been a good day so far. I got a haircut and I'm really feeling it. I keep looking at myself.

SPEAKER_01Let's get into our drinks for the day. What are you drinking?
SPEAKER_02I poured a glass of Pinot. I need something stronger, but had no time. What did you pour into your glass today?
SPEAKER_01Well, I have some sangria left over from uh a few parties ago. So it's still good and nice and strong. So I wish I could switch with you because I know you needed a strong drink today. But yeah, I'm drinking some of that in my big old wine glass. Ooh, nice. Look at that. All right. Ooh, little blush sounds. So yummy. That was Anisha's recipe that I used. I did change up just like a few little things. Oh, I used the kettle one botanicals, I think it's called. It was like a peach and orange or peach and mandarin blossom something. I opened it up, it smelled so good. Really like the you can just tell it's like really infused with those flavors. And I think that like really helped the drink. It was so it smelled so good as I was pouring it, just like the aromas. I was like, oh my gosh, this is gonna be a doozy.
SPEAKER_02I'll have to use that for the next party. Yeah, do it. Yay! I'm so glad that the recipe, my secret recipe, worked for you, which is no longer a secret.
SPEAKER_01Yay. True cheers. Yay, cheers. All right. So today's episode is called Love is the Battlefield. And whether you're new to relationships, been in a relationship for a long time, or out of relationships, um, there's always something about your partner that you seem to constantly buttheads about. And it doesn't have to be like a huge red flag or a deal breaker. It could be like the smallest little thing, but it just becomes an issue. Um, so before we get into that, Anisha, I want to ask you, what is the one thing that annoys you about your spouse?
SPEAKER_02One thing that annoys me about my spouse, which is actually something that he's working on, is his trips to the stores. He I'll send him You already know. You already know where I'm going with this. I will give him a list and he will gladly go to the store, and I'll hear nothing from him until he gets back home. And as I proceed to unload or, you know, unbag the the products, the purchases, I'm realizing either things are missing or it's the wrong product. And I like get this error at the point that I was at before. It's instant 02100. Why didn't you call? Why would you pick this specific item when we've been married for 10 years? And I don't think we've ever had this item in our house before. You know what the you know what the tag looks like, you know. So it it my biggest gripe was that he wouldn't pick up the phone and say, hey, they don't have this brand that you specifically ask for. Is there another brand that you want? And after complaining many of times, we now have a better system and it works. And if you're wondering what the system is, I take pictures and just send him the picture. Or he now picks up the phone.
SPEAKER_01I feel that sending pictures sometimes, especially when it's like, I don't want any substitutions, I want this specific one. Don't give me the store brand. I don't care if it's cheaper. Like, this is the one that I need. Like that's when you have to send a picture because they will come home with the craziest shit. And I feel you, I feel you on that going from like zero to a hundred quick. Yeah. Like, I don't know what it is about that rage that just all of a sudden is like all consuming instantly when they come home with some BS. Yes. But yeah, I feel you on that one. But I'm glad he's working on it because sweet Jesus, that is, yeah, that'll ruin someone's day. Oh my gosh. That'll cause a fight for sure.
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_01What about you, Sal? Yeah, the one, well, there's a few, but the one that really just grinds my gears is when I'm telling him a story or I'm telling him like something about my day, and he like thinks he knows what I'm about to say and he'll say it. And I'm just like, I'm like, what? No, like why would you let me finish my story? And he's like, Oh, well, like he just thinks he knows where I'm going with things sometimes. And I'm like, I get so freaking angry. Let me finish telling my story. And things, I guess sometimes I pause for effect, and he thinks that's that's his moment to speak. I am still speaking. Okay, the pause is for effect, for dramatic effects. But oh yeah, I can't stand it. Like, I'm just like wanna choke him.
SPEAKER_02That's a new one for me. I've never heard of a spouse that involved. I love that. It's like a game to him. It's like, yes, let's go.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's but at least he's actively listening. He is, but not the way I want him to. That's fair. Like you listen and you don't speak. And yeah, don't give him advice, don't give me a solution, just listen. That's it.
SPEAKER_02That's funny. Our husband's at the opposite. My hubby listens and he, you know, he says very minimal, if any words, but he's listening.
SPEAKER_01But all right, so with that, we're gonna continue with the disagreements that seem to never go away when it comes to our spouse. So in relationships, there's times where you know you'll have an a disagreement, you talk it through, you get over it, and you're good. And it's like never happens again. But then there's those. Every year or so, that same freaking argument comes up. I think we all have those. I know, I for sure do. And I I know I put myself in those situations as well. Is there any disagreements between you and your man where you just it's just something you constantly disagree in? It's not like a deal breaker, it's not gonna end in anything bad, but just something that you, you know, frequently disagree about.
SPEAKER_02There is a topic of discussion that comes up that has to do with our son and sports and how we are approaching teaching him and educating him with sports. I am, believe it or not, a woman of few words when it comes to disciplining our oldest son. And when the game's over, because he's involved in sports, baseball, t-ball, basketball, flag football, and all those things, we we evaluate after the game. We talk about how'd you feel, how'd you do, this and that. My husband likes to, you should have done this, why didn't you do that? Why didn't you do this? You should have been doing this. And to me, he's saying so many words. And I'm like, he's five, he's six, he's seven. Let's say the amount of words of his age is essentially my approach. And my husband's approach is just a lot of words that he's spewing at him, and I can just see my son checking out after the third. And my husband and I have gotten into many of heated discussions about how we approach that. And I don't want to step on my husband's toes because I think in his perspective, he's he's looking at it as man to man. I'm talking to my son, let me talk to my son, because I think he feels my approach is too soft because I'm his mother. And so to me, there's a fine line between trying to delegate, but what is he even taking from what you're saying? Versus, I get what you're saying. And maybe have that same energy, but just use less words. So that is an ongoing debate between us that it can get heated sometimes, but and at this point, you know, my son's very active in sports. And obviously it's not gonna make or break our marriage, but it is something that we go back and forth on every other game, every other game day. Depending on how my son does it. You know, he's probably scared to oh, I don't want to perform, you know, who's gonna come at me today. So I will say I a better way for us to, like in my perfect world, I would hope that my husband can honestly can keep his energy. Like keep your energy, just minimize your words so our child can absorb it and take it and then move on with his day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, as opposed to just checking out and like looking out the window, like, oh, you're still talking? Yes. No. So what about you? Right back at you. All right, so one thing that my husband and I don't agree on, and it's a constant battle every year, are birthdays. He is not the type to really celebrate his birthday, he just doesn't care. And I do. Like I want to celebrate my birthday every year. Every year it's something, and he's just not that type. But specifically, this was it this last year? Oh, I don't even remember. I want to say it was this last year. I wanted to have something for him, nothing big. And it's just because I just I love him and I appreciate him so much that I just want to do something for him. And I get it. You don't like your birthday, and he doesn't like the attention. It's like, okay, people, I think was there like a game, something, I don't know, like it would the attention wasn't gonna be just on him. Okay, like people like you're not a kid either. Like, people aren't like, you know, let me take a picture with you and stuff like that. But as the day was going and I'm getting the house ready, I'm making the food, doing all this stuff, and it once again, it wasn't even gonna be like a large party, it was just like a small group of us. Um, there was an issue with chairs, and some of some of you who are listening are gonna know exactly what I'm talking about. Um, but I had asked him to go get some chairs, and he like just blew his lid. I lost it. And I had finally had it. I was at my breaking point with him because it was just like all day, these little jabs, like I didn't want anything, I didn't want anything. And I I got to the point where I was like, you know what? I'm canceling the party. I'm canceling it. And I think he thought I was bluffing because we were like just a few hours away from the party, like supposed like from the starting point of the party. And no, I text everybody and I said party's canceled. I think that's all I said. And people started reaching out to him, and that's how he found out his party was canceled. Because he like I guess I thought I was bluffing. And so he was just like, You really, yes, I really did. And I'm out of here. And I left for a little bit, and I came back cooled down, but I was like, no, this party's fucking canceled. And I was like, if you want to have your party, you're gonna reach out to everybody, you're gonna tell them the party's back on that is your fault. And to my very surprise, he did reach out to people. And some people made plans, like literally right after. So they didn't grow up. Oh, and I was like, that's that's what you get, you know. So um, I've you know, I've learned my lesson. I told him, like, you know what? I love you and I I want to show you appreciation um because you're you're just such a good husband and a good father to our kids, but this is not worth it anymore. The stress. So and I want to back off on his birthday. It's like you do whatever you want on your birthday. You know, it's gonna be hard this year as his birthday comes around, like to not do anything. Like, I'm hoping I learned my lesson. Um, but we'll see. But then, like, same thing with my kids, right? Same thing with the kids. Like, he doesn't feel like we should celebrate every year, just the big ones. Absolutely not. We only have two little ones. It's not like we have a whole football team to celebrate. It's two little ones. Their birthdays are in the same month. There's no reason why we can't celebrate them. So that's also an issue, but that's gonna happen regardless. It is what it is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I remember that party. I wasn't there, but I remember the drama. And I wasn't there because I saw your text. I just was in another state. Right, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, you know, and like like it's not a deal breaker, and I've known that he doesn't care for like celebrating his birthday, and I get like a lot of like the reasons why. I just wish he would just let me like just go with it. I want to celebrate you, just go with it. But yeah, I guess he had just had enough of me that day, and me too. That's it, your party's canceled, done.
SPEAKER_02But there, you know, but but comes growth. Growth comes with all of these stories that we're talking about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he learned don't don't call my bluff because yeah, shit will go down. All right. Our first hot topic has to do with fashion. So heels or no heels. A lot of teens, young adults are wearing sneakers today when they should be wearing heels. So specifically like to prom, like just going out like to dinner, they're like in a very pretty dress or like nice outfit or nice suit, like for guys, and they have some fucking sneakers on. Like, when did that start and when is that gonna end? I don't like it. I don't like why why spend all this money on a pretty dress or like a nice button-up and like some slacks just to mess it up with some sneakers, and like half the time, like pictures that I've seen and stuff, I thought like they're not even clean, comfort.
SPEAKER_02And I get it, I would prefer to be in sneakers than heels, but as soon as you do what you gotta do, right? No, I you know I'm a heel girly. Yeah, you are, and I I definitely feel that the heel is it's a feminine piece of wardrobe, right? And it just gives that last bit of oomph to the dress. And a sneaker over a heel, if you put the same girl in the dress and she has a sneaker on, and then the same girl in the dress with this heel on, honestly, is it's probably two completely different dresses.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because the heel makes that much of a difference. So I'm a believer in wearing heels. And if you I guess if you have to bring some flats or some tennis shoes to change into after you got all the pictures, then do you. I've never done that.
SPEAKER_01But if you feel the need to do that. Okay, as someone who has done that many times, I am a baby when it comes to my feet. Once my feet start hurting, I uh need to take them off instantly. So carrying around like even some freaking flip-flops, you know, but sneakers. But the, you know, you go from having a polished look with the nice shoes, either nice um heels or what what do guys wear? Like just like nice shoes. What are they called? You know, dress shoes, yes. Okay, yeah. Like some nice dress shoes for guys and some heels for girls. Like you have a polished look, you look put together. But the second you're or anything, anything for that matter, like you're going somewhere nice, you're going to dinner, like please don't put on those freaking Nikes. Put on some heels or put on some nice dress shoes. You know, look pr look polished because the second you put something else on, like you look raggedy. You look like you're about to go for a run in a dress. It just looks unpolished.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And I think keeping that feminine energy and presenting that femininity is necessary if you're courting, dating, and you don't have to, and I'm not saying like, oh, just be the woman in the kitchen cooking with your heels on like they were doing back in the 50s. But going out and and playing dress up for the night, I think, is sexy for your partner and to be sexy for yourself, to just be able to present yourself in that to make yourself feel sexy. And there might be some arguments about people I feel sexy in my Nikkies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well then you know what? Wear some freaking basketball shorts and a big oversized shirt and call it a day. But yeah, not with the dress. I don't like it. I really don't. I hope that trend passes soon because I I don't get it. I I mean I get the comfort aspect of it. I do, but take a little pain. Okay, stop being so damn weak.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because we were in the clubs all night.
SPEAKER_01I need used to wear heels that literally didn't even have a heel. Look that up. It was a thing, it was scary. Like, how are you doing this? She did it. God bless her. I would never in my life even have like I fell so many times in the club because I'm just so uncoordinated when it comes to heels. It's embarrassing. But guess what? I dealt with the embarrassment and the pain. I wish I had those heels.
SPEAKER_02Oh, how I wish I still had those heels. So like bust, I don't know where I would go with them, but I wish I had those heels. Now, granted, I I do wear tennis shoes with skirts from time to time, but that's in the daytime. So I don't want people to think that we're just completely knocking wearing tennis shoes with a dress or a skirt. Because if it's a daytime activity and you're feeling girly but comfy on the bottom, then by all means do that. But I think we can both agree that we're specifically talking about clubbing and date nights and dancing.

SPEAKER_01Put some heels on. Yes, I agree. Time time and place matters. Time and place definitely matters when it comes to heels. Absolutely right. Another fashion debate is what is actually appropriate to wear nowadays. It seems like it is a freaking free-for-all, especially for women. I've seen the craziest things out here where I live, and I'm not gonna say specifically where I live. Let me just tell you, there was a day we were driving and we were at a stoplight, and there was this like Tahoe a few cars ahead of us, and the lady gets out at the stoplight, gets out of her car to get something in the backseat. She's wearing a camouflage skirt, mini skirt. She was a big woman. She was a big okay. And I'm not trying to put down big ones, I'm just trying to paint you a picture. Okay, mini skirt, big woman. She opens up the back door, bends over to get what she needs, and she was wearing a thong. How do I know that? Because she was wearing a mini skirt, 10 sizes too small. Okay. Like it is like, where were you going with that outfit? Because regardless, your ass was gonna be out. Another time, I was at Burger King with my husband and kid, and a lady walks in with the shortest short, I they could have been just booty cheek underwear, for all I know. Walks in to Burger King wearing those. And it's like, and with her man, with her man. Like, does he hate you? Because you don't look, you look crazy right now. Like the things that I see out there, what what's Anish, elaborate? What is happening to the world? Why is this like is there any rules to fashion and what you wear and don't wear? Like, are they just these people just have no friends?
SPEAKER_02I feel that people are the rules to fashion. Let's tackle that. It depends on your mindset on the rules to fashion. They had had a TV show called What Not to Wear back in the day. And there were it was a host with a woman and a man, and they would help people that were nominated by their so-called friends or family member. And and you know, they would stalk them for a week and then say, surprise, we've been stalking it for a week. And this is the footage that we picked up on you, and we don't like how you dress, so we're going to teach you how to dress. I do believe in freedom of speech. I feel that there are a lot of people out there that are comfortable in their skin. I feel that there are people out there with different things going on in their lives, so their approach to fashion may be different. I also think that the demographics of where people live at is different on how they approach, how they approach what they wear. So there's so many layers that we can break down with that question that you asked. But I will say that as I've gotten older, that my approach to fashion has been it's been different. I explore more, I take more risk, I think. So it you know, it's just it's tough. There, I feel like there's there's just way where we came from, and I say we as the community of Of human beings from the 20s to the 30s to the 40s to the 50s, and the the layers of clothes have gotten less and less and less and less. So literally, from what I just said earlier, women were on commercial sets with heels and skirts and shirts cooking in the kitchen for their husbands. To now women are on social media cooking with Kyra, cook, what's her name? Cooking with, you know, twerking, you know, the complete opposite. Yeah. So it's just the society. Are we evolving? Backwards, maybe. But, you know, like, you know, so what's gonna be left? You know, we're gonna start cooking naked, you know, 10, you know, for our kid. Who knows? Who knows what's gonna happen to our kids when we're long gone and what's gonna be out there in the world. All these futuristic shows to me are just like that might be it. So I blame Lizzo. What?

But the message that she sent early off, and I get it, the loving your body part, but the outfits that she wore were because she's a performer. And I think that people took that literally, like, okay, I'm gonna love my body. I'm gonna show my ass at Burger King because I love my body so much. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No, I will say that it's unfortunate that people have different mindsets on how they look at things, right? So staying on the topic about clothing, I will say that the TSA has implemented a stricter, unspoken dress code for 2026. And they have clothing issues or they've banned, if you will, offensive revealing clothing, swimwear or bare feet, excessive metal, bulky outerwear, hidden technology. And they're pretty much asking people to dress naturally, which sounds crazy to say. Dress regularly. Um, and and to also check the airline policies. But the fact that people are taking it outside of their hood to go to the airport half naked, and I know you've seen videos on social media that have gone viral because people are like, why would she wear this to the airport? You're sitting on seats with your bare ass and booty shorts. And people have been wondering, like, why did they even get through TSA? So I I'm not sure if you've seen that, but I did say something about it, but I didn't read too much into it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, the fact that they have to tell people to not come to the airport and bare feet is insane. Literally, what are we doing, people? Really? You know how many people in an airport in an airport every day? Like, why? Like, shoes are like you can't even go into a store without shoes. What makes you think you go to an airport without shoes? Like would you? Yes. Well, we will end it with put some damn clothes on. All right. We are at our sing to me segment. Okay, now if you've been listening, you will know that I have been on a roll. SPEAKER_01All right, pores. Moving on to a new segment that we are starting. It is our Bridgerton segment. Now, Bridgerton has been a phenomenon throughout the last four seasons. We are so excited to just talk a little bit about each episode with you as we watch them. So each episode of Pouring and Parenting for the next however many episodes there are of Bridgerton season four, we will be just having a quick discussion regarding what happened in the episode and our thoughts. So there will be spoilers. If you have not watched seasons one through four, I'm going to politely, respectfully ask you to piece out because we're going to spoil it for you. But if you have and you want to be on this ride with us, I suggest that you tune in and join us as we unravel the social season in Bridgerton and dive into all of the romance and drama that little Lady Whistledown has to offer. So let's begin by recapping the last three seasons. So in season one, Daphne Bridgerton comes out to society as a debutante. Lady Whistledown spreads gossip in a column. The Queen wants to find out who she is. So Lady Whistledown is basically spreading a bunch of gossip about all of the elite in society and Queen Charlotte, who obviously is the main head honcho of the Bridgerton series. You know, everything goes through her basically. And she wants to get to the bottom of who Lady Whistledown is. Then we have Simon Bassett, aka Duke of Hastings, aka Walking God, who pretends to court. Actually, let me go back. Him and Daphne meet. Simon, or the Duke of Hastings, is actually Daphne's brother's friend, and they meet. However, both Daphne and Simon are being pushed into marriage and settling down. They both don't want to. So they have this plot where they're gonna pretend to court each other to get everyone off their backs. But in the end, they ended up actually falling in love. But then there comes all the drama is that he can't love her. He has like a bad past with his own father. Um, then they ended up falling in love for real, and they get through it and they get married, but there's so many ups and downs, and like he doesn't want to have kids, and he's like pulling out all the time, and she didn't really know what sex was, and she got like the information from like a maid. It was crazy. But eventually they talk it out again, they fall in love and they actually reproduce willingly. Einish, how do you feel about the Duke of Hastings? I mentioned he was a walking god. Do you agree?
SPEAKER_02No, only because I worship no man, I worship my real god, but okay, really positive, but yeah, so I just need to make that clear to the people. But was he attractive? Yes. Is he my type? No, not in reality, but he was a very good-looking gentleman that they casted to portray him. And the people Netflix did their thing when they hired that man because season one of Bridgerton was going crazy. People were loving it. There was a lot of sex, there was a lot of intimacy. And I eat the crazy thing is that it wasn't anything new if you had Showtime or any of these other channels that exploit sex, I guess. But I do feel that the attraction came from a lot of people. I I think that he was an attractive man, I'll say that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he wasn't mad at the cast right in. I think like even like just his personality, not even just his looks, because I will say when he first came into the picture in the season, I wasn't blown away by him, but getting to know him and his personality, and you could just start feeling like that tension between the two. And then finally, when the romantic stuff came in, it was it was hot, it was real hot.
SPEAKER_02Okay, which leads us into season two, and we're talking about Lord Anthony, Bridgerton, and he decides to, you know, it's time for him to marry. He's the eldest brother, and why is everyone else getting married but him? Instead of finding the countess that he should have been looking for, he decided to look for someone that he actually loves, a true love story. And he set his eyes on the young lady by the name of Edwina Sharma, the season's diamond. And unfortunately, before they could do what they need to do, she had to earn approval of the protective and skeptical older sister of hers, Kate. On to the next highlight of season two. There were enemies and lovers. So while Anthony pursued Edwina, he engages in um a fiery war with wits with Kate. Their mutual dislike eventually masks in an undeniable and unconventional attraction. The tension culminates in a high-stakes emotional struggle between their duty to their families and their secret feelings for each other, leading to dramatic dynamic that the two had for each other, unfortunately. The last thing that I'll touch base on is the unmasking of Lady Whistledown. Dun dun dun. So parallel to the romance is the secret identity of Lady Whistledown. Who is Lady Whistledown? Everyone wants to know. We are two seasons in, and Lady Whistledown is just spilling all the tea everywhere. She is like Lady Wendy Williams. Eloise Bridgerton's obsession over Lady Whistledown is taking over. And her need to unmask her is just that. She is the Gossam columnist. Eloise is trying to tear down Carrie Bradshaw of Bridgerton. And at the end of season two, we all find out who Lady Whistledown is, but I will leave on a clip hanger so Sil can pick up on that for season three. But I do have a question for you, Sill. Mm-hmm. Before we jump into that, I'm getting there. So Anthony spent the whole season claiming he wanted a perfect drama-free marriage of convenience. Do you think he was actually looking for a wife, or was he just looking for an excuse to have never be vulnerable again?
SPEAKER_01I think he was just looking for an excuse. He just, you know, did the courting as it should be without really any emotions. Like, and she was like too young. Edelina, she's like, they were not a match, you know. So I mean, I'm glad it worked out that he ended up with Kate, but it ended up not being drama-free. It was a whole lot of chaos, came in between two sisters, and just because he couldn't figure out what he wanted. So yeah, no, but it was selfish on his part for sure. So young. Yes. And now into season three. This season is focused on Colin and Francesca Bridgerton, but really it was mainly about Colin Bridgerton. So he comes back into the social season and he's like a new hottie. Like he is the hottest thing in town. And he's ready for what the season brings, which is the courting and finding a marriage and finding, you know, his wife. His bestie, Penelope, is also well, she is in her third year of um being in putting herself out there in the season and being a debutante. And I I believe in like their standard society, like after three seasons, like that, you know, that's it. So she was in desperate need to find a suitor. And she just was really like socially awkward. So she relies on Colin, who she's actually had a crush on for like ever, to help her not be socially awkward with men. So as that's happening, he starts to realize that he's in love with her. They had this big kiss. Penelope was feeling really down about one of the moments that she had had with another suitor. And she just tells Colin to kiss her and like they make out. And then that's when the spark is like ignited, and Colin realizes, like, whoa, like you're much more than just like my little bestie. I actually like you. And he, you know, he starts paying more attention to her, but she's at the point where, like, no, like you don't like me. Like, you know, we're just friends. She's trying to find a suitor, and he kind of just starts sabotaging her, and she's like starting to get pissed off. Like, what's your problem? Like, I I need to get married. And finally, he like confesses to her, and like they make out in the back of the carriage, and you know, he learned some stuff, and it just gets really wild in the back of the carriage. Well, you know, he like proposes right away, but he ends up discovering that she, Penelope, is Lady Whistledown, and that brings a lot of chaos to their relationship because they went from like planning a wedding to maybe not planning a wedding and all this stuff in between. And then you have Francesca Bridgerton and John Sterling, whom meet, and theirs was a very cute love story. Um, it was a little more on the boring side. It was just, I don't know, I guess added fluff, if you would say. Um yeah, it was so really cute romance as well. But you know, they meet, they court, they get married. Theirs was pretty simple, it seemed like. At the end, Penelope confesses that she is, well, after a bunch of obstacles, she confesses finally that she is Lady Whistledown, and she apologizes for everything that she's said in her column. Um, and she says this in front of the queen, and the queen eventually is just like, you know what? I love gossip, and allows Penelope to continue with her column. So, did you see that coming, Ainish, that the Queen would just kind of forgive her for writing her column?
SPEAKER_02The Queen has an amazing poker face, and her poker face the whole season was giving just that. I don't know what you're holding in your hand, I don't know what you're gonna say from one sentence to the next. So honestly, I feel like it was the birth of tea, of gossip. Lady Whistledown and the Queen noticed that. And seeing the entertainment, I honestly think that she, a part of her was probably sad that the hunt was over, the chase was over. Because now they all know that secret. Everyone knows who it is. So, you know, what's the next thing that we're we're we're gonna chase as a community? I have to learn how I like tea. Yeah, oh, I bet you do. The hotter the better. The hotter the better. That brings us into Queen Charlotte, a Bridgetton story that acts as a prequel that explores the deeply emotional history behind the monarchy. So, one of the points I will discuss is how the season begins. The season begins with Charlotte's arranged marriage to King George III. Their union is more than just a royal merger. It's used as a dowager. It's used by the dowager Princess Augusta to facilitate a social shift, the Great Experiment, to be exact, which grants titles and status to people of color, effectively creating the racially integrated society seen in the main Bridgerton timeline. One of the other highlights that we're touch based on is the King's Hidden Struggle. It was difficult to watch. Unlike previous seasons, there was conflict in the social and the primary obstacles. Here in this particular season, George. Battles with mental illness. The series reveals his desperate and often painful attempts to cure himself so he can be the husband he feels that Charlotte deserves, leading to the heartbreaking realization that they must find a way to love each other between the stars and the shadows of condition. One of the last things that I'll touch base on in reference to this particular season would be the dual timelines. The story bridges the past and the present throughout the season, while the younger Charlotte learns to navigate the pressures of wearing the crown and her divorce, her the older queen Charlotte faces a succession crisis after the death of the royal heir, which forces her to put a lot of pressure on all of their many, many kids to marry and produce a new heir to secure the future of the monarchy. So, so with that very brief breakdown, if George hadn't been the king and if Charlotte hadn't been the queen, do you think that they would have survived as a couple? Like if they were just normal people?
SPEAKER_01If they were just normal people. Well, that's hard because I feel like back in that in the day, in like oh like in that like time period, once you were like set up with someone, especially for a woman like that's when you were gonna stay with. So I think yes, they would have. It maybe would have been handled a lot differently because they wouldn't be in the spotlight, like being the king and the queen. I think they could have. I mean, it did seem like she really did love him, and vice versa. I just think that his debilitating illness led him to just like want to push her away and she's like, no, like I'm not going anywhere. So I think they could have possibly handled that maybe even with more ease outside of being royalty because they wouldn't have to be worried about who's watching them. There's a lot more eyes on them as royalty. So yeah, I think they could have. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I thought he was handsome. Yeah quite frankly. I thought I I thought he might have been better looking than you know the first gentleman. I think that she really liked him. Yes, I think that she really liked him and almost felt, why are you pushing me away? Am I not good enough for you to a certain extent? Because we're both two good looking people. What's wrong with me, sir? Not knowing of his, you know, mental issues that he was dealing with at the time. Yeah. The fact that it took him so long, I think that that hindered their relationship more than helped it. Because he thought he was helping by not exposing her to that because he thought he was gonna push her away. So I don't know. I think they would have made it outside of that thing if they weren't royalty.

But if if I sound like a hypocrite right now, please somebody let me know. Please. Because I don't want to be one of those, be like, um, yeah, you're, you know, you were showing this and that and uh at Chucky Cheese, like please tell me so I could stop. SPEAKER_02No, I think that we touched base on everything and that talking about having disagreements with your spouse is normal to a certain extent, but just making sure that you communicate, having open communication ultimately is I feel how you grow as individuals and as a unit.
